Brown Sauce Recipe

There are many recipes for brown sauce, but most include beef or chicken stock, vinegar, Worcestershire sauce, and either tomato puree or ketchup.

 2 tb Butter
 ¼ ts Pepper
 2 tb Flour
 1 cn Beef stock
 ½ ts Salt

In skillet melt butter.

Add flour, salt, pepper and beef stock.

Cook 15 minutes over very low heat or double boiler.

Consumme' cansubstitute for beef stock.

Serve with beef dishes.
