There are many recipes for cornbread, but they all typically contain some combination of cornmeal, flour, milk, sugar, eggs, baking powder, and butter.

 ½ c butter or sunflower oil
 1 c corn meal
 ¼ c honey
 1 c flour
 1 ea egg
 1 ds salt, (opt.)
 1 c milk
 2 ts baking powder

Cream together butter or oil, honey, egg, and milk.

Combine and add thedry ingredients, stir together until just moistened.

Bake in oiled panfor 20 to 30 minutes at 350 degrees.

Tops will split when done.
