?Fakkes is a traditional Greek lentil soup recipe. It is made with green lentils, olive oil, onion, garlic, tomato, and various spices.

1 lb Lentils

1 Large Chopped onion

12 Cloves Chopped garlic

1 cup Tomato sauce

⅔ cup Olive oil

1 Bay leaf

Clean the lentils well and place in a covered pot with enough water to emerse them. Boil for a short while and dump the water. Place the lentils back in the pot with water as before and add the rest of the ingredients. Slowly simmer for about an hour.
