Frogmore Stew Recipe

?Frogmore stew is a Lowcountry boil or seafood boil typical of coastal areas of South Carolina, Georgia, and northern Florida in the United States. The dish is named for Frogmore, a small community on St. Helena Island in Beaufort County, South Carolina. Frogmore stew is usually made with a mixture of seafood, sausage, corn on the cob, and potatoes. The seafood is typically shrimp, crab, and lobster.

 3 Old Bay Seasoning
 3 Salt
 1 1/2 gallons water
 2.00 Keilbasa or smoked sausage
 12 Ears shucked corn broken into 3 - 4 inch pieces
 4 lbs. shrimp in shells

In a large stock pot, add the seasonings to the water and bring to a boil. Add sausage and boil, uncovered, five minutes. Add corn and count five minutes (begin counting immediately, don't wait until water is boiling). Add shrimp and count three minutes. Drain immediately.
