Hawaiian Pork Chops Recipe

?There are many Hawaiian pork chop recipes, but they typically involve marinating the pork chops in a sweet and savory sauce, then grilling or baking them. The sauce may include pineapple juice, soy sauce, brown sugar, and other flavors.

 4 loin pork chops, about 1 inch thick
 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
 ¼ cup butter or margarine
 ½ cup green onion, chopped
 2 cloves garlic, minced
 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
 1 tablespoon curry powder
 1 cup chicken broth
 ½ teaspoon salt
 ½ teaspoon pepper
 8 3/4 ounce can crushed pineapple, undrained
 1 heaping cup snow peas

1. Heat oil in a large skillet.

2. Brown pork chops on both sides. Remove from pan. Keep warm.

3. Melt butter in the same skillet. Add green onion and garlic. Saute until soft.

4. Stir in flour, curry powder, chicken broth, salt, pepper and crushed pineapple with juice.

5. Bring mixture to a boil. Return pork chops to pan. Cover.

6. Simmer for 15 minutes. Add snow peas.

7. Cook for a few minutes. Or cook snow peas separately and serve with chops.
