Honey Wheat Casserole Bread Recipe

This bread is a delicious, slightly sweet casserole bread that is perfect for any meal. It is made with whole wheat flour, honey, and milk, and is studded with raisins or other dried fruit.

 1 1/2 c Bread flour
 2 tb Honey
 1 c Wheat flour
 2 tb Oil
 3 tb Nonfat dry milk
 1 c Hot water (120-130 deg f)
 1 pk Yeast
 1 tb Wheat germ
 1 ts Salt

In a large mixer bowl, mix 1/2 c bread flour with all the wheat flour anddry milk, yeast, salt, honey and oil.

With mixer on low speed, mix untilsmooth.

With mixer still going, add hot water and contuinue mixing untilsmooth.

Add remaining flour slowly, then mix at high speed until smooth.

Pour batter into a greased 1 1/2 quart cassrole dish.

Place in warm areato rise, letting batter double in size.

Bake at 375 deg f for 25 to 30minutes or until wooden skewer comes out clean.

Makes 1 loaf (about 10servings).

NOTE: for finer texture bread let rise in bowl, then punch down and placein greased cassrole to rise again.
