Mexican Sauce Recipe

There is no one definitive recipe for Mexican sauce. However, many Mexican sauces contain tomatoes, chili peppers, onions, garlic, and cumin.

 2 c TOMATO JUICE
 ¼ ts CHILI POWDER
 2 tb ONION FLAKES
 ¼ ts BASIL LEAVES
  ts GARLIC POWDER
 1 1/2 tb RED WINE VINEGAR
 1 pk INSTANT BEEF BOUILON
 2 ts SWEETENER, TO EQUAL 2 t.
 ¼ ts CUMIN
 ½ ts OREGANO

COMBINE ALL INGREDIENTS IN A SMALL SAUCE PAN EXCEPT SWEETENER AND OREGANO.

SIMMER UNCOVERED UNTIL REDUCED TO HALF ORIGINAL VOLUME.

ADD SWEETENER ANDOREGANO, SIMMER AN ADDITIONAL 5 MINUTES.

DIVIDE EVENLY INTO 2 PARTS.
