Pecan Pie Recipe

Most pecan pie recipes include sugar, corn syrup, butter, eggs, and pecans. Some recipes also include vanilla extract, salt, and flour.

 1 c PECAN HALVES
 1 ts LEMON JUICE
 3 ea EGGS
 1 1/2 ts VANILLA
 1 c FIRM PACKED BROWN SUGAR
 6 tb MELTED BUTTER
 1 c LIGHT CORN SYRUP

PREHEAT OVEN TO 3500F.

SCATTER PECANS ON BOTTOM OF PIE SHELL.

BEAT EGGS, SUGAR, CORN SYRUP, LEMON JUICE AND VANILLA IN A SMALL BOWL.

MIX ONLY UNTIL COMBINED.

BEAT IN BUTTER, A TABLESPOON AT A TIME.

POUR ONTOPECANS IN PIE SHELL.

BAKE IN PREHEATED OVEN FOR 40 TO 45 MINUTES OR UNTILFILLING PUFFS AND QUIVERS SLIGHTLY WHEN YOU NUDGE THE PIE.

COOL COMPLETLY.

CUT INTO THIN WEDGES AND TOP WITH COOL WHIP IF DESIRED.
