Roast Turkey With Chestnut Filling Recipe

This is a traditional Thanksgiving dish in which a turkey is roasted with a chestnut filling. The filling is made with chestnuts, bread crumbs, onions, and sage, and is usually stuffed into the turkey before it is roasted.

 1 ea Turkey
 1 x chestnut filling recipe
 ½ c Butter
 ¼ c Flour
 1 x Salt

Dress and clean turkey and fill with Chestnut Stuffing.

Cream together thebutter and flour and rub the legs, wings, and breast with the mixture.

Place in oven (400-F) for 15 minutes.

Season with salt.

Reduce the heat to350-F and finish roasting for 3-1/2 hours or until tender.
