Tabbouleh Salad Recipe

Discover how to prepare tasty, traditional tabbouleh at home! This tabbouleh, which is also known as tabouli, is superior to that of your favorite Lebanese restaurant.

 2 ¾ cup Parsley (chopped)
  cup Mint (chopped)
  Tomatoes (large)
 ¼ Onions (small)
¼ tbsp Bulgur (white, fine, 'Burghul' in Arabic)
  tsp Salt
 Black pepper (to taste)
 ½ tsp Mint (dried)
 1 tbsp Olive oil
  cup Lemon juice

1

Sprinkle the onions with a little bit of salt and black pepper. Mix well then squeeze with your hands (this crushes the onions and removes any excess water).

2

Add the bulgur and lemon juice to the onions and let sit for 20 minutes. To save time, we recommend chopping the parsley once you’ve put aside the bulgur mixture.

3

Put the chopped parsley in a large bowl and add the bulgur mixture and the remaining ingredients: Chopped and dried mint, olive oil, tomato, salt (minus what you added to the onions in step 1) and black pepper. Mix well. Leave a bit of the chopped tomato on the side for garnish.
