 1 1/4 c bran
 2 ea eggs
 1 c whole wheat pastry flour
 ¾ c maple syrup
 2 1/2 ts baking powder
 ¼ c butter
 ¾ ts nutmeg
 1 c apples, chopped
 ¼ ts ground cloves
 1 c raisins (opt)
  c milk

Green apples are the best to use for this recipe.

Combine bran, flour,baking powder, nutmeg and cloves; set aside.

Cream together milk,eggs, maple syrup, and butter; fold in flour mixture.

Stir in applesand raisins.

Pour into oiled muffin tins, and bake at 350 degreesuntil tops split, 15 to 25 minutes.
