Beer batter for fritters is a light batter made with beer and flour that is used to coat and fry foods such as fish, chicken, or vegetables. The beer batter gives the food a crispy and flavorful coating.
1 c All-purpose flour
1 c Beer
1 ts Baking powder
¼ c Vegetable oil
1 Egg

Mix flour and baking powder.

Add remaining ingredients and beat untilsmooth.

To fry: Dip chunks of food into batter.

Fry in 3-4 inches of fatat 375 degrees until golden brown.

Drain on paper toweling.
