Pickled pears are a type of pickled fruit that is made by pickling peeled and cored pears in a vinegar, sugar, and spice mixture.
Any good preserving pear may be used.
Slice and remove core or picklewhole; the latter method is preferred when Sickel pears are used.

Put spices in a small cheese cloth bag and add to the vinegar andsugar and bring to a boil.
Add pears and cook until tender.
The pears willlook clear when tender.
Remove them with a spoon and place them insterilized jars.
Boil the syrup until it becomes thick, the pour it overpears and seal.
