Porter Beef (Irish) Recipe

Porter beef (Irish) is a recipe that uses porter beer as an ingredient. The porter beer gives the beef a unique flavor and also helps to tenderize the meat.

 2 lb Rib steak
 10 fl Stock or water
 1 1/2 lb Onions
 1 x Pinch of nutmeg
 ½ lb Mushrooms
 1 x Salt and pepper
 1 x Seasoned flour
 1 x Fat for frying
 10 fl Guinness or other stout

Cut meat into fairly large chunks and roll in seasoned flour.

Brown inhot fat and remove from pot.

Chop onions roughly and fry gently for 2-3minutes.

Return meat to pot.

Add all other ingredients.

Bring to theboil, reduce heat and simmer gently for 2 hours or until meat is tender.
