Pumpkin Cake is a cake that is made with pumpkins. It is usually a spice cake, and often has a cream cheese frosting.
1 c Brown sugar
2 Egg yolks or 1 egg
½ c Shortening
½ c Sour milk
¾ c Pumpkin
¼ ts Soda
2 ts Mapleine flavoring
½ ts Salt
4 ts Baking powder
⅔ c Chopped floured
2 c Flour
½ c White sugar

Cream sugar and shortening.

Add other ingredients in order given.

Bake1/2 hour at 350in pan 6 1/2 x 11.

Good without frosting served warm,with apple cider.
