Souza’S Spaghetti Sauce Recipe

There is no one definitive recipe for Souza's spaghetti sauce. However, a typical recipe may include ingredients such as olive oil, garlic, diced onions, crushed tomatoes, white wine, and various herbs and spices.

 2 lb Lean ground beef
 2 ts Dried oregano
 3 tb Olive oil
 2 ts Dried basil
 1 c Onions chopped
 1 Bay leaf
 2 Cloves garlic minced
 1 ts Salt
 2 cn Tomato paste plus
 2 tb Worcestershire sauce
 2 cans water
 ½ ts Fresh ground black pepper

Brown the ground beef and drain.

Sautthe onions in olive oil and addminced garlic shortly before the onions are tender.

Add the onions and beefto a large pot and add remaining ingredients.

Cook on very low heat for 4hours skimming off any extra grease from the beef and adjusting seasoning.

Note:My father would often freeze this basic sauce and add freshmushrooms when he planned to serve it.
