Spritz Butter Cookies is a traditional Christmas cookie recipe that has been passed down through generations. This recipe is made with butter, sugar, eggs, and flour, and results in a light and fluffy cookie that is perfect for decorating.
Preheat oven to 375 deg f.
Cream butter in large bowl.
Add sugar and beatuntil light and fluffy.
Beat in egg and extracts.
Gradually add flour,almonds and salt.
Using a pastry bag and a large star tip, pipe dough intorosettes or stars on unbuttered baking sheets.
Decorate with sprinkles andbake for 10 to 12 minutes or until pale golden.
Remove from baking sheetsand cool on wire rack.
Makes about 3 1/2 dozen cookies.
