There is no one definitive recipe for strawberry cake. However, many recipes for strawberry cake call for the use of fresh strawberries in the cake batter or frosting. Some recipes also include a strawberry filling between the cake layers.
STRAWBERRY ICING3/4Stick margarine, softened1/2 pk (10 ounces) frozen2 cPowdered sugar-strawberries Dissolve strawberry gelatin in cold water.
Combine all cakeingredientsincluding gelatin mixture and beat with mixer for 5 minutes.
Bake in greased tube pan at 325for 55 minutes.
For icing, combinemargarine, powdered sugar, and remaining strawberries and beat well.
Pourover cooled cake.
