?Bifteki is a Greek meatball recipe that is typically made with ground beef, pork, or lamb. The meatballs are usually seasoned with herbs and spices such as oregano, garlic, and salt. They are often served with a tomato-based sauce and are typically served as an appetizer or main course.

 2 1/2 lbs. ground sirloin beef
 1 lg. onion, chopped
 2 eggs
 from 2 lemons
 Pepper
 3 cloves garlic, chopped
 1 cup bread crumbs
 little olive oil

Combine all ingredients and mix well with hands. Shape into oval patties, like hamburgers. About 16. Broil them in oven until desired doneness.

Note: This is a very simple recipe. Some people use cooked rice instead of bread crumbs. You can also omit the lemon and mint from patties and flavor cooked patties in a creamy tomato gravy. Cook meat dripppings, 6 tablespoons tomato paste, 1 cup beef broth, and 1/2 cup red wine in large skillet over low heat until thickened. Remove from heat, stir in 1/2 cup sour cream. Add patties and simmer 10 minutes.
