Seven-Layer Casserole Recipe

Seven-Layer Casserole is a dish made up of seven different layers of food. The most common ingredients used in this dish are potatoes, ground beef, and cheese. Other ingredients that can be used include vegetables, pasta, and even fruit. This dish is usually baked in the oven, but it can also be made in a slow cooker.

 1 c Rice, uncooked
 1 c Corn, whole kernel, drained
 16 oz Tomatoe sauce
 ¾ c Water, divided
 ½ c Onion, chopped
 ½ c Green pepper, chopped
 1 lb Hamburger

Saute the hamburger to remove excess fat.

In a 2 quart casserole layer theingredients as follows: rice, corn, salt and pepper,1/2 of the tomatoesauce,1/2 cup water, onion, green pepper, ground beef, remaining tomatoesauce and water.

Cover and bake at 350 for1 hour.

Uncover and continuecooking another 25 minutes.

A few slices of cheese placed on top adds anice touch the last ten minutes.
