Fruit syrup sauce, or saftsås, is a Swedish condiment made from fruit syrup and vinegar. It is usually used as a topping for pancakes, waffles, or other desserts.

 2 dl fruit syrup, not too sweet
 2.50 dl water
 1.50 tablespoon potato starch (potato flour)

Proceed as follows:

Mix the fruit syrup, water and potatoe starch and bring it to a boil while stirring constantly.

Let it boil for 6 - 8 seconds and remove it from the heat.

Taste and and honey as required.

Serve either cold or above room temperature (but not hot).
